At St. John Bosco, as part of the Lakewood Catholic Parish Family, we share a deep bond with our sister parish, St. Frances Cabrini, united in our mission to live the Gospel, celebrate the sacraments, and serve one another with love.

Why We Are Becoming a Parish Family

As part of the Archdiocese of Seattle’s Partners in the Gospel initiative, our local parishes—St. Frances Cabrini, St. John Bosco, and Immaculate Conception—have begun the journey of becoming a parish family. This process is rooted in the call to renew parish life, strengthen our mission, and ensure a vibrant Catholic presence for generations to come.

With fewer priests, changing demographics, and a deep desire to grow as disciples of Jesus, the Archdiocese is bringing parishes together to collaborate more closely, share resources, and build stronger faith communities. By becoming a parish family, we are not losing our identity—we are gaining partners in mission, united in prayer, service, and the Eucharist.

Are you looking for something more in your spiritual life - something beyond Sunday Mass?

Then start a Discipleship Quad!!! Discipleship Quads are small groups of four people (same gender) who meet once a week for prayer, Scripture reflection, and mutual encouragement. It’s not a class or study group, but a time to grow in faith, build authentic friendships, and support one another in living as disciples of Christ.
